Last updated: 30 October 2026. This notice covers smartdomainhosting.com, the free domain checkup and the services we provide to customers. The business responsible is Web Landscapes LLC, a Florida company trading as Smart Domain Hosting. Questions go to domains@smartdomainhosting.com.

The domain checkup

The checkup looks up public information about the domain you type: its registration record (RDAP), its DNS records through Cloudflare, and whether its home page answers over HTTPS and HTTP. The requests come from Cloudflare's servers and identify themselves as SmartDomainHostingCheck.

  • Results are cached briefly at Cloudflare, without who asked.
  • Checks are counted per IP address for a short time, in memory, to stop abuse.
  • Cloudflare's security logs include your IP address and the domain you checked.

We don't store checked domains in a database or use them for marketing.

Customers

  • Contact and billing details. Card payments go through our payment processor; we don't store card numbers.
  • Registrant details required by ICANN, which go to the registrar and registry under their policies.
  • Names and addresses of people who get mailboxes, which go to Google or Microsoft. We don't read your email.
  • DMARC reports, which list sending servers and message counts, not message contents.

Who we share it with

Only the services that do the work: the registrar (Cloudflare or Porkbun) and the registry for your domain, Cloudflare for DNS and hosting, Google or Microsoft for mailboxes, and our payment processor. We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising.

This website

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or ad trackers. Only the domain you enter in the checkup is sent to our server.

How long we keep it

Customer records are kept while you're a customer and as tax law requires afterwards. Other data is deleted when we no longer need it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at domains@smartdomainhosting.com. We may need to keep billing records the law requires.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this notice, we update the date at the top.
