Terms of service
Last updated: 30 October 2026. These terms cover the plans and one-off work sold by Web Landscapes LLC, a Florida company trading as Smart Domain Hosting ("we", "us"), and the free domain checkup on smartdomainhosting.com. Questions go to domains@smartdomainhosting.com or (786) 372-0287.
1. What we do
On a plan, we manage the domains you list with us: renewals, DNS, email settings and, on the Domain, Email + Site plan, website hosting. Each plan includes what the pricing page lists on the day you sign up. If we change a plan, we tell you before it applies to you.
2. Your domain stays yours
Domains are registered with you or your business as the registrant, and we act on your instructions. When you ask, we unlock the domain and give you its transfer code, unless registry or ICANN rules prevent a transfer at that time.
You agree to keep your registrant contact details accurate. A registration with false details can be suspended.
3. Fees, renewals and third-party charges
- Plan fees are charged monthly or yearly in advance, per domain, in US dollars.
- Registrations, renewals and transfers are charged at the registrar's price on the date.
- Mailbox licenses (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) are charged at the provider's price, or billed to you by the provider directly.
- Domains are set to auto-renew while your plan is active and paid. We are not responsible for a lapse caused by an unpaid invoice or failed payment.
- One-off work is quoted before we start and invoiced when it's done.
4. Canceling
Monthly plans end at the end of the billing month. Yearly plans run to the end of the paid year and aren't refunded part-way. When a plan ends, you get the record sheet and the transfer code. Renewals already paid stay with the domain. We can end a plan with advance notice.
5. What we need from you
- Access to the accounts we look after, given by adding us as a user or delegate, not by sharing your password.
- Notice of anything new that needs a DNS record.
- Lawful use. We may suspend hosting or DNS for a domain used for spam, phishing, malware or infringement.
6. Third-party services
Registrars, registries, Cloudflare, Google and Microsoft provide parts of the service. Their outages, price changes and policies are outside our control and we're not liable for them.
7. The free checkup
The checkup reads public records and is provided as is. Don't use it to scan domains in bulk.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Florida law. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
10. Changes
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top and tell customers on a plan by email.
